Mariner’s Bank launches Feeding the Frontline initiative, honoring COVID-19 heroes of Bergen and Hudson County
Edgewater, NJ – Mariner’s Bank (“Mariner’s): As the COVID-19 pandemic neared its peak, Mariner’s Bank sought ways to recognize and give back to those selflessly fighting for our community’s safety and well-being.
By teaming up with Bobby Bournias and Brownstone Pancake Factory of Edgewater and Englewood Cliffs, Mariner’s was able to send individually packed Brunch Boxes to healthcare workers and first responders across northern New Jersey. The tasty do-it-yourself brunch home kits were hand-delivered to the workplaces of doctors, nurses, police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and those alike providing them with a much-needed pick-me-up during their shifts.
After Feeding the Frontline, Mariner’s set out on yet another initiative with a contest, Nominate Your Hero. Customers and community members were encouraged to nominate their very own frontline hero for a chance to win a share-size Mariner’s Bank x Brownstone Pancake Factory Brunch Box. With an overwhelming response, the bank selected and surprised first responders, doctors, and EMTs at their very own doorstep, gifting them a token of their appreciation for all they did and continue to do for their community.
“Being in the epicenter of the pandemic was beyond anything we could have imagined. Our day-to-day activities and initiatives came to a screeching halt, and we knew we had to do something to support our struggling community. As essential workers ourselves, we understood the fear, uncertainty, and the toll it took to keep focused, remain calm to support those who needed us. The idea behind our Feeding the Frontline and Nominate Your Hero initiatives was simply to send a message that no matter the effort, small, large, or in between, that effort is what was keeping our community going, and for that we’re thankful.” Robert Baumann, President, and CEO.
With the banking industry shaken by the impact of COVID-19, Mariner’s Bank continues to work tirelessly providing uninterrupted banking services while doing its part to stop the spread. By administering safety regulations across all locations, modifying hours and operations, and promoting digital banking alternatives the Bank is confident they can help keep their community safe.
